Growing The Game Through Kids Bowl Free

Darin Spindler recently sat down with Lee Sandt, the new owner of Steel City Bowl & Brews, to discuss his experience with the Kids Bowl Free program.

Lee and his wife took over Steel City earlier this year after completely renovating and rebranding the center. While new to ownership, both Lee and his wife have lifelong experience in bowling through their involvement in junior leagues and competitions.

When deciding whether to continue Steel City's participation in Kids Bowl Free, Lee was convinced by the previous owner's recommendation. Having worked at the center for over a decade, he had also seen firsthand the steady summer traffic the program delivered.

With Kids Bowl Free handling most of the marketing and registration, Lee appreciates how little effort is required from the center. It provides an easy way to collect customer data and introduce new families to all Steel City has to offer, like their robust junior bowling program and birthday party packages.

The results have exceeded Lee's expectations. In only their second summer with the program, Kids Bowl Free registrations translated into real business growth. Lee now strongly recommends other centers give it a try, believing they too will be pleasantly surprised.

Through dedicated center owners like Lee, Kids Bowl Free continues expanding access to bowling while helping fuel future growth for the entire industry. Their proven model makes introducing new players to the fun of bowling an effortless prospect.

Kids Bowl Free generates traffic in the summer when people are looking for things to do, and it introduces our newly remodeled facility to local families.
