At Kids Bowl Free, we’ve always believed that small actions can create a big impact. That’s one of the reasons we’re so proud to support BVL (Bowlers to Veterans Link) through the Kids Bowl Free program.
In this special video, Darin Spindler sits down with Jessica Abel from BVL to share how bowling centers across the country are helping support veterans in a simple, meaningful way—through Family Pass sales.
Together, Kids Bowl Free centers are closing in on more than $100,000 contributed to BVL over the past six years.
Why This Matters
BVL has been supporting veterans since 1942, funding recreation therapy and programs that improve the lives of those who have served our country. With nearly $60 million raised over the years, BVL continues to make a real difference—and the bowling industry has played a major role in that story.
In 2025 alone, Kids Bowl Free and participating centers helped contribute a record $18,115 to BVL. This year, we hope to go even further.
A Simple Way to Give Back
Participating is easy. Inside your Kids Bowl Free center dashboard, you can choose to contribute:
- 25 cents per Family Pass
- 50 cents per Family Pass
- $1.00 per Family Pass
The choice is completely up to you, and every amount makes a difference. These small contributions add up quickly and help fund important programs for veterans across the country.
Keep the Impact Local
One of the most powerful parts of supporting BVL is that participating centers can often designate their funds locally. That means the dollars generated through your Family Pass sales can go directly to veteran organizations in your area—whether that’s a VA program, VFW post, Honor Flight, or another approved recreation therapy initiative.
It’s a meaningful way to show your community that your center is committed to giving back while supporting veterans close to home.
Small Contributions Add Up
As mentioned in the video, generosity doesn’t have to start big. A quarter here, fifty cents there, or a dollar per pass can snowball into something truly impactful. That’s exactly how lasting change happens.
